🐾 How The Alaska Cat Café Works & Why It Matters ☕🐱

We’ve had a lot of questions about how our cat café works—so here’s the scoop!

🧁 The Café is open to the public during business hours for coffee, drinks, snacks, and sweet treats. No appointment needed—just walk in, grab something delicious, and hang out in our cozy café space.  ~ This is not to be confused with our CAT LOUNGE AREA, that is a PAID area.

🐈 The Cat Lounge is open Sunday-Thursday from 10 AM to 5 PM. This is the magical room where you can spend time with our adoptable cats and kittens. For the best experience (for you AND the cats), we limit visits to 10 people per visiting time. You do not need an appointment, but they are HIGHLY recommended if you want to secure a spot.

👧 Children are welcome in the cat lounge. All children must be accompanied by an adult. A fee is due for the child AND the adult chaperone.🐾

❤️ Why We Exist:
The Alaska Cat Café isn’t just a fun place to get your caffeine fix—it was created with one goal in mind: to support our nonprofit partners who rescue and rehome cats and kittens. Right now, we proudly partner with The Cat Cottage and The Krazy Kat Rescue and we’re actively working on bringing in even more rescue organizations.

🐾 We also partner with VCA Far Country and Animalitos to get our furry guests spayed/neutered and vaccinated. Adoption fees don’t even cover those costs—which is why we rely on your cat lounge visits, café purchases, donations, and merch sales to keep going.

💸 Why does it cost money to visit the cats?
Because every dollar from your cat room visit goes directly to the care of the cats—vet bills, food, litter, supplies, and everything in between. It’s not a cover charge for petting cats—it’s a lifeline for rescue efforts.
