At the heart of everything we do at The Alaska Cat Café is our non-profit partner: The Cat Cottage—a local rescue on a mission to save, heal, and rehome cats and kittens in need.

🐱 What is The Cat Cottage?

The Cat Cottage is a nonprofit feline rescue organization dedicated to:

• Rescuing abandoned, stray, and surrendered cats and kittens

• Providing medical care, including spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping

• Fostering cats in a home-like environment while they wait for their forever families

• Educating the public on responsible pet ownership and the importance of spay/neuter efforts

Unlike large shelters, The Cat Cottage is a small, hands-on rescue with a big heart. Every cat we foster has a name, a story, and a dedicated team working behind the scenes to ensure they’re healthy, socialized, and ready for a loving home.

💉 What We Provide Before Adoption:

Every adoptable cat or kitten from The Cat Cottage has already received:

• 🩺 A full vet exam

• ✂️ Spay or neuter surgery

• 💉 Vaccinations

• 🧬 Microchipping

• 🐾 Flea and parasite treatment

• 🧡 Lots of love and socialization

All of this happens before a single adoption takes place—which means our adoption fees (usually less than $150) don’t begin to cover the actual cost of care. We do it because these cats deserve a second chance.
